1.485 Gbps LVDS-to-CML serializer in 48-WQFN
The LMH0040SQ/NOPB is a 5-input serializer from Texas Instruments that converts parallel LVDS data into a single CML output stream at up to 1.485 Gbps — the native data rate for 3G-SDI and high-definition serial digital video links. Five LVDS inputs feed into one CML serializer; the 1.485 Gbps output matches the SMPTE 424M standard for 3 Gb/s SDI, meaning this part sits in the transmit path of broadcast video infrastructure, medical imaging, or any high-speed serial link where LVDS parallel data needs to be serialized onto a coax or fiber driver.
Supply rails and temperature grade
Dual supply range: 2.375 V to 2.625 V on one rail and 3.135 V to 3.465 V on the other — the 2.5 V core supply powers the PLL and serializer logic while the 3.3 V rail drives the CML output stage, so both rails must be present and within tolerance for the device to lock and serialize.
Supplied in Bulk (tube) packaging, not tape-and-reel — factor this into the pick-and-place feeder setup; the part may need a tube feeder or manual placement for prototyping.
