Package and integration story
The LMC6082AIM/NOPB comes in an 8-SOIC package (0.154", 3.90 mm width) — a standard footprint for dual op-amps that fits a four-layer board without via-in-pad. The surface-mount package reflows with a typical 260 °C peak profile; no special bake is needed if the moisture-sensitive level is handled per the reel label.
What the input bias current means for your front-end
At 0.01 pA typical, the CMOS input stage keeps the bias current three orders of magnitude below a JFET-input op-amp. A photodiode amplifier with a 10 MΩ feedback resistor sees less than 0.1 µV of offset error from bias current — the dominant error becomes the 150 µV input offset voltage, not the bias.
Gain bandwidth and slew rate — what they set
The 1.3 MHz gain-bandwidth product supports a closed-loop gain of 10 up to about 130 kHz before the open-loop gain drops to 10. The 1.5 V/µs slew rate limits the full output swing (rail-to-rail) to about 240 kHz — above that, the output rise time becomes the bandwidth bottleneck, not the GBW.
Supply range and output drive
Operating from a single 5 V rail up to ±7.5 V split supplies, the 4.5 V to 15.5 V span covers common industrial and battery rails. Each channel can source or sink 34 mA — enough to drive a 100 Ω load to within 200 mV of the rails, or to charge a 100 pF sample-and-hold capacitor at the slew rate limit.
