Active production — BOM-fit and sourcing posture
The Texas Instruments LM75BIMX-3/NOPB is a digital local temperature sensor with a 9-bit resolution and an I²C output interface.
What the ±2°C accuracy means for your thermal management loop
A ±2°C typical accuracy means the sensor reports temperature within 2°C of the actual junction temperature at the die. For an over-temperature shutdown threshold set at 85°C, the actual trip point could be as low as 83°C or as high as 87°C — budget this tolerance into your system margin when using the programmable limit feature. The 9-bit resolution yields 0.5°C per LSB, which is adequate for thermal monitoring and fan-control loops where sub-degree precision is not required. The I²C interface with a single address pin allows up to three devices on the same bus, or eight if using an address translator.
The -55°C to 125°C full-range rating covers industrial and extended-temperature environments without derating.
