High-side current monitor for industrial and automotive rails
The Texas Instruments INA202AID is a high-side current monitor that senses current by measuring the voltage drop across a shunt resistor placed between the supply rail and the load. Its input common-mode range of -16V to 80V covers 12V, 24V, and 48V systems, including reverse-battery conditions and transient overvoltage events common in industrial motor drives and automotive body controllers. The ±3.5% accuracy is adequate for overcurrent protection thresholds and load monitoring, though not for precision metering applications.
It is ROHS3 compliant.
