Stepper motor driver for 8–37 V rails, 1 A per phase
The Texas Instruments DRV8884RHRR is a fully integrated bipolar stepper motor driver that combines the control logic and Power MOSFET output stage in a single 28-pin WQFN package. It drives one bipolar stepper motor at up to 1 A per winding from a motor supply rail between 8 V and 37 V. The logic supply accepts 0 V to 5.3 V, making it straightforward to interface with 3.3 V or 5 V microcontrollers. Step resolution is programmable from full-step down to 1/16 microstepping, which smooths low-speed motion and reduces audible noise in applications like printer transports, ATM mechanisms, and small CNC stages.
It is ROHS3 compliant, which satisfies the EU RoHS exemption-free material restriction requirements.
Package and mounting — 28-WQFN with exposed pad
The part is supplied in a 28-WFQFN Exposed Pad package (supplier device package 28-WQFN, 5.5 mm × 3.5 mm body). The logic interface is 0 V to 5.3 V, so a 3.3 V or 5 V MCU port connects directly without level shifters.
