1.5 A per bridge — torque and thermal budget
Each of the four half-bridges is rated for 1.5 A continuous output. That sets the stall torque ceiling for a brushed DC motor or the holding torque for a bipolar stepper.
The 2.7 V to 10.8 V supply range lets the driver run directly from a 3.3 V or 5 V logic rail, or from a 9 V battery without a separate regulator.
Four half-bridges — two brushed DC or one bipolar stepper
With four NMOS half-bridges in a single package, the DRV8833RTYT drives two independent brushed DC motors or one bipolar stepper motor. The integrated control and power stage eliminates external FETs and simplifies the PCB layout for general-purpose and solenoid applications.
