Clamping and breakdown parametrics
The 1.5KE75AH: The 64.1 V reverse standoff is the maximum continuous DC voltage the diode blocks without conducting; above 71.3 V the avalanche breakdown begins, and at 103 V the device clamps the surge current to 15 A. The device handles repetitive pulses as long as the junction temperature stays within the -55°C to 175°C operating range.
Package and rework considerations
The DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package is through-hole mounted. The body diameter and lead spacing are standard for this power class, and the part is available in tape-and-reel for automated insertion. For a rework tech: the axial leads are robust enough to survive a hot-air desolder cycle without lifting the pad. Pin 1 is the cathode band — the banded end is the same orientation as the polarity mark on the PCB silkscreen.
