Automotive-grade 1.5 kW transient suppressor
The 1.5KE62AH: With a 53 V reverse standoff voltage, 58.9 V minimum breakdown, and 85 V maximum clamping at 18 A peak pulse current, it protects 48 V nominal rails from load-dump and inductive kickback transients.
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead through-hole package — the DO-201 footprint is a standard for 1.5 kW TVS diodes and mates with existing PCB layouts for the 1.5KE family. The unidirectional single-channel design (one diode per package) clamps one polarity; for bidirectional protection on AC or bipolar rails, two parts back-to-back or a bidirectional variant is needed.
Sourcing and lifecycle status
No power line protection (the device is not designed for AC mains primary-side clamping), so it is best applied on DC power buses, signal lines, and automotive load-dump protection circuits.
