Automotive-grade transient protection in a through-hole package
The 1.5KE47CAH: This part carries an Automotive grade designation and is qualified to AEC-Q101, the automotive discrete semiconductor reliability standard.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margins
The minimum breakdown voltage is 44.7 V, and the maximum clamping voltage at the 24 A peak pulse current is 64.8 V. The 40.2 V reverse standoff gives a guard band above a nominal 36 V or 40 V rail — the TVS remains transparent during normal operation and only conducts when a transient pushes the line above the breakdown threshold. With a single bidirectional channel, the 1.5KE47CAH protects both polarities in one package — useful for AC lines or signal pairs where the transient can swing either direction.
Package, mounting, and lifecycle
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE47CAH is a through-hole device. The DO-201 footprint is a standard for 1500 W TVS diodes and is compatible with wave-solder assembly.
