1.5 kW bidirectional TVS for 356 V rails
The 1.5KE440CH: Its 356 V reverse standoff voltage and 631 V clamping point make it a fit for protecting 380 VDC bus rails or 277 VAC line-to-ground circuits against transient overvoltage events. AEC-Q101 qualification confirms the device meets automotive-grade stress and reliability screening — junction temperature range from -55°C to 175°C covers under-hood and engine-bay thermal profiles without derating the 2.4 A peak pulse current.
Clamping voltage and breakdown margin
Breakdown occurs at 396 V minimum, giving a 40 V margin above the 356 V standoff before the device starts conducting leakage current. The 631 V maximum clamping voltage limits the let-through energy to the downstream silicon — a 380 V rail sees the spike clipped to under 1.7× the nominal bus voltage. Single bidirectional channel means one DO-201 axial package replaces two series-back-to-back unidirectional TVS diodes, saving board space and reducing part count on the BOM.
Active production, AEC-Q101 traceability
AEC-Q101 qualification means the lot is traceable to a PPAP-compliant manufacturing flow.
