Clamping and surge rating for a 256V rail
The 1.5KE300AH: Its reverse standoff voltage of 256V means it stays transparent under normal line conditions, only conducting when the surge exceeds the 285V minimum breakdown threshold. This combination protects downstream components from overvoltage until the surge energy dissipates.
The junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C, covering the full automotive thermal profile without derating the peak pulse power at the high end.
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead through-hole package, the 1.5KE300AH is soldered into the board via wave or hand-soldering. No moisture sensitivity level applies — axial diodes do not require bake-out before assembly. The package body is cylindrical, 9.5 mm length typical, with leads 1.3 mm diameter for the cathode band.
