1500W peak pulse, 12.8V standoff — AEC-Q101 qualified
The 1.5KE15AHA0G is a 1500W unidirectional Zener TVS from Taiwan Semiconductor's 1.5KE series, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive-grade reliability. It clamps transients at 21.2V maximum, with a 12.8V reverse standoff voltage that lets it sit across a 12V nominal rail without conducting during normal operation.
Clamp voltage and breakdown window
Breakdown occurs between 14.3V minimum and the clamping ceiling of 21.2V at 74A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs waveform). The 12.8V standoff leaves headroom for a 12V battery system that sees charging spikes up to 14V — the TVS stays transparent until the transient exceeds that window.
DO-201 axial package — board integration
Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package, supplier device package DO-201. The lead spacing and body diameter match standard 0.100-inch pitch layouts — no footprint change from the legacy 1.5KE family. Tape and box (TB) packaging keeps the leads aligned for auto-insertion.
Automotive qualification and active lifecycle
Targeted at automotive transient protection — ECU power inputs, sensor supply rails, and relay coil suppression where the 1500W pulse rating covers load-dump and inductive kickback events.
