AEC-Q101 qualification and the under-hood temperature band
The 1.5KE150AHB0G carries AEC-Q101 qualification, the automotive discrete semiconductor stress-test standard covering temperature cycling, ESD, and reliability screening for production parts.
Clamping voltage and pulse current — what the ratings mean for the BOM
Breakdown occurs at 143V minimum, and the device clamps the transient to 207V maximum at the rated 7.6A peak pulse current (10/1000µs waveform) — this 207V ceiling is the voltage the downstream silicon must survive.
Package and board integration
The DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package is a through-hole form factor — the 0.042-inch diameter leads require a 0.052-inch plated-through hole on the PCB, and the body length of about 7.6 mm sits above the board with the leads bent 90° for horizontal mounting. The single unidirectional channel protects one rail or signal line — the cathode band marks the anode end, and the part is polarity-sensitive; reverse insertion shorts the protected rail to ground through the Zener breakdown.
