Transient protection for a 12V DC rail
The 1.5KE13A B0G: Its 11.1V reverse standoff voltage sits below the rail's steady-state level, while the 12.4V minimum breakdown triggers clamping before the downstream circuitry sees an overvoltage event.
Package and thermal envelope
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial leaded package, the diode mounts through-hole on a PCB or point-to-point on a terminal block. The junction operates from -55°C to 175°C, so it survives the ambient swing inside an outdoor telecom enclosure or an engine-bay electronics bay without derating the peak pulse power at high temperature. The bulk packaging suits low-to-medium volume production runs and prototyping — each part is handled individually, not reel-fed, so the rework bench or MRO storeroom can pull single units without depopulating a tape.
