5.6 V regulation with ±2.5% tolerance
The UFZVTE-175.6B is a 5.6 V Zener diode from ROHM Semiconductor in the SOD-323F (UMD2) surface-mount package. Its ±2.5% tolerance means the actual Zener voltage at the test current falls between 5.46 V and 5.74 V — tight enough for a 5 V rail reference or a protection clamp threshold where the voltage must stay within a few percent of the nominal value. Rated for 500 mW continuous power dissipation in the SOD-323F body. At 5.6 V, the maximum steady-state current is about 89 mA, but the practical limit drops as ambient temperature rises above 25 °C — the junction temperature ceiling is 150 °C, and the thermal resistance of the small package means the power derating curve should be consulted for designs running near the limit.
Dynamic impedance and leakage
Maximum Zener impedance (Zzt) is 13 Ω at the test current. This is the dynamic resistance at the operating point — a lower Zzt means the Zener holds its voltage tighter under varying current. 13 Ω is typical for a 500 mW 5.6 V device; for a reference or shunt regulator, the voltage change from a 10 mA current swing is about 130 mV worst-case. Reverse leakage current is 5 µA maximum at 2.5 V reverse bias. This is the standby current when the Zener is not conducting — low enough to ignore in most battery-powered reference or clamp circuits.
Package and board fit
Supplied in SOD-323F (SC-90) package, also designated UMD2 by ROHM. The footprint is approximately 1.7 mm × 1.25 mm with a low profile, suitable for dense PCB layouts.
