65 V, 10 A Schottky — the rectifier for automotive DC rails
The RBQ10RSM65BTFTL1 is a 65 V, 10 A Schottky rectifier from ROHM, qualified to AEC-Q101 for automotive applications. The 65 V reverse voltage gives headroom for a nominal 48 V or 24 V bus with transients; the 10 A average rating covers moderate-load rectification, freewheeling, and OR-ing duties.
Forward drop and thermal budget at full load
Maximum forward voltage is 670 mV at 10 A — that is the conduction-loss floor at rated current.
Fast recovery — where the 500 ns ceiling matters
The fast-recovery spec (≤500 ns above 200 mA) means this Schottky switches cleanly in a 50–100 kHz PFC or DC-DC stage. A standard-recovery rectifier at the same voltage would add reverse-recovery charge that heats the die and the companion FET.
Package and pad — the TO-277A layout checklist
The TO-277A (3-PowerDFN) package has an exposed cathode pad on the bottom. The recommended land pattern uses a 4.5 × 4.0 mm pad with a 2×2 array of 0.3 mm thermal vias to the inner-layer copper pour. Reverse leakage is 150 µA at 65 V — expect it to double every 10 °C above 100 °C junction, so the thermal pad is not optional.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
No official second source or pin-compatible replacement is listed in the ROHM portfolio.
