Automotive-grade Schottky pair for low-loss rectification
The RB715WMFHTL from ROHM Semiconductor is an automotive-qualified Schottky barrier diode configured as a series pair in a single SC-89 SOT-490 package.
Parametric envelope and thermal limits
The 40 V maximum reverse voltage (Vr) and 30 mA average rectified current (Io) per diode define the safe operating area for continuous conduction. Reverse leakage is specified at 1 µA maximum at 10 V reverse bias, a parameter that matters for high-impedance sense circuits where leakage current can shift bias points. Junction temperature is rated to 125°C maximum, consistent with AEC-Q101 Grade 1 or 2 thermal requirements for under-hood or cabin-mounted electronics. The low forward voltage of 370 mV at 1 mA reduces self-heating in low-current paths, allowing the part to operate near its thermal ceiling without derating.
The series-pair configuration in one package saves board space compared to two discrete diodes and simplifies pick-and-place assembly.
