Dual Schottky in a common-cathode D²Pak
The RB218NS100TL is a 100 V Schottky diode pair in a common-cathode configuration, delivering 20 A average rectified current per diode in a single TO-263-3 (D²Pak) package. The 870 mV forward voltage drop at 10 A and 7 µA reverse leakage at 100 V define the conduction and blocking losses for the pair in a 150°C junction environment.
Fast recovery and switching behaviour
Classified as a fast recovery diode (trr ≤ 500 ns at forward current > 200 mA), the RB218NS100TL handles the reverse-recovery charge in high-frequency rectification and freewheeling loops without the snap-off characteristic of ultrafast types. The 100 V reverse voltage rating and 20 A per-diode average current suit it for OR-ing, polarity protection, and output rectification in 48 V to 60 V bus converters where the Schottky barrier keeps the forward drop lower than a pn junction at the same current density.
Surface-mount TO-263-3 (D²Pak) with the supplier device package designated LPDS — the exposed tab is the common cathode, so the PCB copper pour under the tab carries the combined 40 A return current and must be sized for the thermal dissipation at 150°C junction.
