Dual Schottky in a full-pack TO-220
The RB215T-40NZC9 is a dual common-cathode Schottky rectifier from ROHM Semiconductor, rated for 20 A average rectified current per diode at a reverse voltage of 40 V. Housed in a TO-220-3 Full Pack (TO-220FN) through-hole package, the fully molded body isolates the tab — no insulating pad needed against the heatsink, which simplifies assembly in high-density power supplies.
Maximum forward voltage is 550 mV at 10 A, keeping conduction losses manageable in a 20 A rail — the common-cathode pair shares the load, so each diode sees half the total current in a typical center-tap rectifier. Reverse leakage is specified at 500 µA at 40 V, a figure that rises with junction temperature — the 150°C max junction rating means the leakage doubles or triples near the ceiling, so thermal design should budget for that shift. The fast-recovery classification (≤500 ns, >200 mA) confirms it switches cleanly in the 50–100 kHz range typical of output rectification in switch-mode supplies.
