Switching speed and conduction loss — the parametric pair
Fast recovery <500ns at >200mA Io — this is the reverse-recovery time that governs switching loss in a hard-switched converter. For a 100kHz PFC stage, the recovery charge per cycle stays low enough that the MOSFET turn-on loss is dominated by the diode's reverse recovery, not the junction capacitance. Forward voltage 880mV at 5A — the conduction loss floor at half the rated current. At 10A the Vf rises; the thermal budget must account for the I×Vf product at the actual load, not the 5A point.
