Dual Schottky in a single TO-252 — OR-ing and polarity protection
The RB088BM-30TL packs two 30 V, 10 A Schottky diodes in a common-cathode configuration inside a single TO-252 (DPak) surface-mount package. Each diode handles 10 A average rectified current with a forward drop of 720 mV max at 5 A, and reverse leakage stays at 3 µA at the 30 V rating. The common-cathode layout means the two anodes are separate — ideal for OR-ing redundant power supplies or building a full-wave rectifier from two diodes in one footprint. The TO-252 exposed pad on the bottom lets the PCB copper plane pull heat out of the junction, keeping the 150°C max junction temperature within margin under continuous 10 A per leg.
Active lifecycle and compliance — no supply chain surprises
That means the part is still in the factory's standard portfolio and can be ordered through authorized distribution without a last-time-buy deadline. For a BOM line that sees long production runs, this is a stable choice. The TO-252 package is widely second-sourced across the industry, so if a shortage hits, a pin-compatible alternative from another Schottky family can be qualified without a board spin.
