Maximum dropout is 1.2 V at full load, so the input rail needs at least 3.7 V to hold 2.5 V regulation — fine from a 5 V bus, tight from a 3.6 V battery.
The 8-HTSOP-J package (0.154" body, 3.90 mm width) is a surface-mount part that dumps heat through the exposed pad into the PCB. The Enable pin is active-high, so tie it to Vin if you want the output always on.
