54 MHz RXv2 core with 384 KB flash
The R5F52317BGFM#30 is a 32-bit single-core MCU from the Renesas RX231 family, built around the RXv2 CPU core running at 54 MHz. It carries 384 KB of program flash, 64 KB of RAM, and 8 KB of data flash that doubles as EEPROM — enough headroom for a mid-range control loop with a communication stack and a few hundred lines of application code.
Connectivity and analog mix
On the communication side the MCU integrates CANbus, USB OTG, I²C, SPI, SCI (UART), IrDA, SSI, and SD/SDIO interfaces — a combination that suits a fieldbus gateway, a sensor aggregator, or a motor-drive control board that needs to talk to both a CAN network and a host PC over USB.
