The onsemi ESD9C3.3ST5G is a unidirectional Zener-type ESD protection diode. It clamps transients on a single line to a 3.3 V (max) reverse standoff voltage, with a minimum breakdown of 5 V. The 12.8 pF typical capacitance at 1 MHz keeps signal degradation low enough for high-speed interfaces like USB 2.0, HDMI, or LVDS — the guard band on edge rates is tighter than a general-purpose TVS but still workable for most differential pairs. Packaged in SOD-923, it mounts on the PCB directly adjacent to the connector or IC pin being protected. The SOD-923 footprint is smaller than the common SOD-323, which helps on dense layouts but also means the power dissipation per pulse is lower — derate if the system sees repetitive 8/20 μs surges above the datasheet peak-pulse-current curve.
AEC-Q101 grade and temperature range
For an aerospace or defence BOM, the AEC-Q101 report provides a screening baseline, but the part lacks a full MIL-PRF-19500 or QML Class V flow — a rad-hard part it is not, but the AEC lot-trace and test data can be used to reduce risk in a non-radiation environment.
Cut Tape quantities are also available for prototyping.
