16-bit HCS12X MCU with 384 KB Flash and 50 MHz core
The NXP S912XEG384J3VAA is a 16-bit microcontroller from the HCS12X series, built around a HCS12X core running at 50 MHz.
Connectivity and peripheral set
On-chip connectivity includes CANbus, EBI/EMI, I2C, IrDA, SCI, and SPI interfaces, which cover the common communication buses for distributed control and sensor networks. The peripheral set also features LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT, so the MCU can handle brown-out detection, power-on sequencing, pulse-width modulation for actuator control, and watchdog supervision without external glue logic.
Package and mounting
Supplied in an 80-pin QFP package for surface-mount assembly. The 59 I/O lines are accessible on the perimeter leads, which simplifies PCB routing for mixed-signal boards that combine the ADC inputs with CAN and SPI traces.
