Memory and peripheral budget
64 KB of on-chip RAM (64K x 8) is available for code scratchpad or data buffers; the ROMless architecture requires an external flash or ROM device on the EBI/EMI bus for program storage. The peripheral set includes Ethernet MAC, USB, I²C, SPI, UART/USART, and DMA — enough to serve as a gateway MCU bridging a fieldbus to an Ethernet backbone without an external protocol chip.
