The NXP MC33932VWR2 is a fully integrated brushed DC motor driver delivering 5 A continuous output current from a 5 V to 28 V supply and load voltage range. That 5 A figure is the nominal continuous rating — the absolute-max junction temperature and the exposed-pad thermal path will determine the actual sustained output in your enclosure, but for a typical automotive seat motor or window lift actuator at 12 V nominal, 5 A gives healthy headroom above the stall current of a small brushed DC motor. The four half-bridge outputs can be configured in parallel for higher current or used independently to drive two bidirectional brushed DC motors, or a combination of motors and solenoids, from a single 44-HSOP package.
Automotive temperature grade and package thermal path
The parallel interface connects directly to a microcontroller's GPIO pins — no SPI or I2C protocol overhead, so the motor PWM frequency and duty cycle are set by firmware timing loops or a hardware timer output. For a brushed DC motor, the switching frequency is typically in the 10-20 kHz range to avoid audible whine, and the driver's CMOS technology handles that without external snubbers for most cable lengths under 1 meter.
