What the Schmitt trigger inputs mean for your board
The 74LV132D/C4118 is a quad 2-input NAND gate with Schmitt trigger inputs from NXP's LV/LV-A/LVX/H logic family. The Schmitt trigger action on each input provides hysteresis — typically 0.4 V at 3.3 V supply — which cleans up slow or noisy edges that would cause a standard gate to oscillate or draw shoot-through current on the transition.
