Compact Cortex-M4 with USB and industrial temperature range
The MK20DX32VFM5: 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 MCU at 50 MHz with 32 KB Flash, 8 KB RAM, 2 KB EEPROM, USB OTG, and 6-channel 16-bit ADC. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 105°C.
50 MHz Cortex-M4 — what it buys the BOM
The 50 MHz core with single-cycle multiply and hardware divide handles control loops and protocol stacks without an external co-processor. The DSP extension and floating-point unit (FPU) are absent on this Cortex-M4 — it is the single-precision FPU-less variant, so keep that in mind if your algorithm relies on hardware float. The 32 KB Flash is enough for a modest application with a USB stack and a few peripheral drivers; the 2 KB EEPROM emulation or dedicated EEPROM block stores calibration constants and failsafe parameters without wearing the main Flash.
Peripheral set and I/O budget
Twenty I/O pins with I²C, SPI, UART, IrDA, and USB OTG connectivity. Six-channel 16-bit ADC and DMA offload the CPU.
Sourcing and lifecycle
Lifecycle status is Active. No last-time-buy or NRND flag. Available through independent distribution.
