Memory map and the EEPROM advantage
50 MHz Cortex-M0 — what it means for throughput
The 50 MHz core delivers about 50 DMIPS for the Cortex-M0 pipeline. That is enough to handle USB full-speed with a software stack, manage I²C and SPI peripherals concurrently, and run a modest control loop.
USB and serial connectivity
The USB device interface is the headline peripheral here. Combined with SmartCard and Microwire support, this MCU targets secure-credential readers, USB-to-serial adapters, and smart-grid meters.
Standard distribution lead times apply; no last-time-buy notice is in effect. For dual-sourcing resilience, NXP's LPC11Uxx family includes pin-compatible density variants (e.g., 32 KB Flash versions) that share the same 32-HVQFN footprint — qualifying one opens the door to others without a board spin.
