Accuracy is specified at ±3°C typical and ±5°C worst-case over the 0°C to 100°C test condition, with the local sensor covering -55°C to 125°C and the remote channel limited to 0°C to 100°C — the remote input is intended for moderate-temperature targets like a power MOSFET case or a processor die, not a hot exhaust path. The shutdown mode feature drops the quiescent current to near-zero between measurement cycles, making this part viable for battery-backed telemetry or energy-harvesting nodes that wake periodically to log temperature.
