The DSC8002CI2T: Active current is 10 mA max; in standby (disable) it drops to 15 µA max, making it usable for battery-powered designs that sleep between bursts.
User-programmable frequency — one SKU covers the band
This is a blank (user-programmable) device, not factory-trimmed. You program the target frequency — anywhere from 1 MHz to 150 MHz — using Microchip’s programming tools before placement. That means a single inventory line item covers the whole frequency range; no need to stock separate order codes for 25 MHz, 50 MHz, and 100 MHz variants. That is tight enough for most serial communication clocks (UART, SPI, I2C) without needing a separate TCXO.
