Power budget and standby behaviour
The DSC8002CI1: Maximum supply current is 10 mA during active operation — a modest draw for a 1 MHz to 150 MHz oscillator, but worth checking against the system's total clock-tree power budget. Standby (disable) current is 1 µA maximum, achieved by pulling the standby pin low — this shuts off the output and drops the current by four orders of magnitude, critical for battery-powered devices that sleep most of the time.
