MEMS resonator and programmable frequency range
The DSC8001BI5-PROGRAMMABLE: A MEMS base resonator replaces the quartz crystal — the part is factory-programmable across 1 MHz to 150 MHz, so a single order code can serve multiple frequency points in the BOM when the programming is specified at order. Total frequency stability of ±10ppm covers temperature, supply, and aging effects — tight enough for a CAN bus or Ethernet reference clock where the ppm budget is typically ±50ppm or tighter.
Active current draw is 12.2mA max, and the standby (disable) mode drops to 15 µA — the standby current is low enough that a battery-backed RTC or wake-up timer can leave the oscillator powered without draining the coin cell during sleep.
Package and board integration
Surface-mount assembly with a standard reflow profile; the MEMS die is less sensitive to mechanical shock than a quartz blank, reducing the risk of frequency shift during board handling or vibration in the field.
