MEMS oscillator for high-speed clock trees
The DSC1222DI2-121M1090T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC1222 series, delivering a 121.109 MHz LVPECL output with ±25 ppm frequency stability. The MEMS resonator eliminates quartz startup issues and vibration sensitivity, making it a solid fit for FPGA reference clocks, 10GbE SerDes, or any high-speed serial link where LVPECL levels are the standard. Supply voltage spans 2.5V to 3.3V, so it can run directly off a 3.3V rail or a 2.5V FPGA bank without an external regulator.
The 6-VDFN package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm — a compact footprint that fits tight board layouts, though the 0.50 mm pitch demands careful PCB land pattern design and a stencil with good aperture-to-pad ratio for hand-solder or reflow.
Active lifecycle — no obsolescence worry
Microchip lists the DSC1222DI2-121M1090T as Active.
