MEMS oscillator with LVPECL output
The DSC1212CI3-C0029T is a MEMS-based oscillator from Microchip Technology's DSC12X2 series, delivering an LVPECL output — a differential signal standard that keeps jitter low and edge rates fast over short PCB traces, common in high-speed clock distribution for FPGAs, SERDES, and 10G+ Ethernet PHYs. It operates from a 2.25V to 3.63V supply, so it can run directly off a 2.5V or 3.3V rail without an extra LDO, and draws 50 mA typical at the supply mid-point.
Housed in a 6-VDFN measuring 3.20mm x 2.50mm with a 0.90mm seated height, the package footprint is compact enough for dense PCB layouts but still hand-solderable with a fine-tip iron — just check the MSL before reflow; MEMS resonators are generally MSL 1, but confirm the reel label.
