MEMS XO at 156.25 MHz — LVPECL for high-speed serial links
The DSC1202NE2-156M2500T is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) delivering a LVPECL output at 156.25 MHz — the exact reference frequency for 10GbE and 25GbE PHYs, Fibre Channel, and SONET/SDH line cards. Supply voltage spans 2.5 V to 3.3 V, so it runs from a common 3.3 V or 2.5 V rail without an external regulator; the LVPECL output is AC-coupled into the PHY or FPGA clock input.
The part ships in Tape & Reel (TR) packaging, the standard format for automated pick-and-place assembly; the 6-VDFN package measures 7.00 mm x 5.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm.
During normal operation the supply current is 50 mA typ, which is typical for a 156.25 MHz LVPECL output driving a 50-ohm terminated line.
