What this MEMS oscillator brings to the board
The scorch mark on a dead board is rarely the MEMS die.
Supply rail tolerance and termination
Supply voltage range spans 2.5V to 3.3V — the same oscillator can straddle a 2.5V FPGA bank and a 3.3V clock fanout buffer without a separate regulator. No need to stock two frequency references for different core voltages. LVPECL output at 156.25 MHz demands a 50-ohm to Vcc-2V termination at the receiver. The 50 mA typical supply current includes the output stage bias; the actual edge rate into the load depends on the termination resistor tolerance and PCB trace impedance.
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 7.00mm x 5.00mm with a seated height of 0.90mm — a low-profile footprint that fits under a mezzanine card or behind a front-panel connector. The 0.90mm height leaves room for a keep-out zone under the oscillator; no via-in-pad required for the thermal pad.
