Automotive-grade MEMS oscillator – active, programmable
It outputs a standard CMOS clock from 2.5 MHz up to 170 MHz, covering the majority of MCU, SoC, and FPGA reference clock requirements in a single device family. With a supply range of 2.25 V to 3.63 V and a standby (power-down) function, it fits both 3.3 V and 2.5 V logic domains and can gate the clock output for low-power sleep modes without an external load switch.

Programmable blank – workflow impact for procurement
This is a blank (user-programmable) device — it ships without a frequency set. The buyer must plan for a programming step, either in-house using Microchip's TimeFlash field programmer or through a programming service at the distributor. The 6-VDFN package (2.50 mm x 2.00 mm footprint) is small enough for space-constrained automotive modules but requires a fine-pitch programming adapter.
Package and mounting – 6-VDFN board-fit note
The 6-VDFN package measures 2.50 mm x 2.00 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm max — a low-profile, surface-mount MEMS oscillator that sits flush on the PCB without through-hole clearance. The 27 mA typical supply current is the max draw at the highest frequency; the standby function pulls the current down to near-zero when the output is disabled.
