MEMS oscillator with AEC-Q100 and ±20 ppm stability
The DSC1201BA3-PROGT is a MEMS-based XO (Standard) from Microchip's DSC12X1 series, delivering CMOS output across a 2.5 MHz to 170 MHz programmable range. Total frequency stability is ±20 ppm over the full operating range — tight enough for CAN, FlexRay, and most SerDes reference clocks without external trimming. The part ships as a blank device (User Must Program), so you configure the output frequency during your production flow using Microchip's programming tools or a pre-programmed service.
Package, footprint, and standby function
Housed in a 6-VDFN package measuring 5.00 mm x 3.20 mm with a seated height of 0.90 mm, this oscillator uses a standard surface-mount footprint that reflows without special stencil adjustments. The 6-lead VDFN is common for MEMS oscillators; the centre pad provides thermal relief and mechanical stability. A standby (power-down) function lets the oscillator drop to near-zero quiescent current when the enable pin is de-asserted — useful for battery-backed or ignition-switched modules that need to wake on a bus event.
