The Microchip AVR64DB28-I/SO is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from the AVR® DB family, built around a single-cycle I/O core running at 24 MHz. The 28-pin SOIC package keeps the board footprint compact while providing 21 general-purpose I/O lines, plus a 9-channel 12-bit ADC and a single 10-bit DAC for direct sensor and actuator interfacing without external converters.
Memory and peripheral headroom for control applications
The 64 KB Flash (64K x 8) provides ample code space for mid-complexity firmware — think motor control loops, UART protocol stacks, or data-logging routines — while the 8 KB SRAM handles moderate buffering and variable storage. The 512-byte EEPROM is useful for calibration constants or configuration parameters that need to survive a power cycle.
