20 MHz AVR core in an 8-pin SOIC — what this MCU delivers
The Microchip ATTINY13A-SSHR is an 8-bit AVR microcontroller from the ATtiny family, clocked at 20 MHz and packing 1 KB of Flash program memory, 64 bytes of SRAM, and 64 bytes of EEPROM in an 8-SOIC package.
Peripherals and I/O — enough for a small control loop
Six general-purpose I/O lines, a 4-channel 10-bit ADC, PWM output, plus brown-out detect and watchdog timer. That's enough to read a temperature sensor, drive a small fan or LED, and keep the system alive through a glitch. No USB, no SPI/I²C hardware — bit-bang if you need serial.
Microchip lists the ATTINY13A-SSHR as Active. No last-time-buy notice, no end-of-life risk for current production. ROHS3 compliant, so it passes European and California regulatory gates without a waiver.
