2Kbit SPI EEPROM in a compact 8-TSSOP
The Microchip AT25020B-XHL-T is a 2Kbit serial EEPROM with an SPI interface, organized as 256 x 8 bits. Typical applications include parameter storage, calibration constants, and device configuration in industrial sensors, metering, and portable instruments where non-volatile retention is needed across power cycles.
SPI clock and write-cycle timing
The 20 MHz SPI clock rate supports fast read access for firmware boot or lookup tables — at that speed a full 256-byte page reads in about 100 µs. The SPI interface uses the standard mode 0/3, and the part supports sequential reads across the full memory array.
Rated from 1.8V to 5.5V, this EEPROM works with low-voltage MCUs (1.8V) and legacy 5V logic alike — no separate regulator needed for the memory rail. The non-volatile memory retains data across the full temperature range with no refresh required.
The 8-TSSOP package (0.173" body width, 4.40mm) is a standard JEDEC footprint shared with many other 8-pin serial EEPROMs, so a layout designed for a 24AAxx or 25AAxx part in the same package accepts this device. The supplier device package is 8-TSSOP.
It is RoHS3 compliant.
