Surge protection for harsh environments
The 1N6167US is a Zener-type transient-voltage-suppression (TVS) diode rated for 1500 W peak pulse power under the 10/1000 µs waveform, clamping at 151.3 V maximum at 9.9 A. Its single bidirectional channel protects lines that see both positive and negative transients — useful on AC signal pairs or bipolar DC rails where unidirectional parts would need anti-parallel stacking.
Temperature range and breakdown margin
Minimum breakdown is 104.5 V, with a reverse standoff of 86.6 V — the gap between standoff and breakdown sets the leakage floor under steady-state bias; the 151.3 V clamp ceiling limits the voltage the protected circuit sees during a surge.
