The 1N6154US/TR is a bidirectional Zener TVS diode rated for 1.5 kW peak pulse power per the 10/1000 µs waveform. It clamps transients at 45.7 V maximum while standing off 25.1 V continuous, making it a fit for 24 V rails that need protection against load-dump or surge events. The SQ-MELF C package is a surface-mount ceramic body with metallized end caps, designed for reflow assembly and good thermal transfer to the board.
The 31.4 V minimum breakdown voltage sets the threshold where the diode starts conducting — below that the rail sees no leakage. The 45.7 V clamping voltage is the maximum voltage the protected circuit sees during a 32.8 A peak pulse current. Operating junction temperature from -55°C to 175°C covers cold-crank and under-hood conditions. The 1.5 kW rating holds at 25°C; derate per the datasheet curve above that temperature.
