500 W peak pulse, bidirectional Zener TVS in SQ-MELF B
It clamps at 151.3 V max with a minimum breakdown voltage of 104.5 V, making it suitable for protecting 86.6 V reverse standoff rails from transients. Packaged in a SQ-MELF B (surface-mount) case, it handles 3.3 A peak pulse current and operates over a -55°C to 175°C junction temperature range — wide enough for avionics, industrial, and downhole applications where thermal margin is tight.
Clamping voltage and breakdown threshold
With a 104.5 V minimum breakdown and 151.3 V maximum clamping, the 1N6131AUS triggers before most downstream silicon fails. The 86.6 V reverse standoff means it sits on a nominal 80–85 V rail without conducting leakage current under normal conditions. Bidirectional configuration (single channel) eliminates polarity concerns on AC or floating lines — one part covers both positive and negative transients.
