1.5kW Zener TVS in DO-201AE
The 1.5KE30A-TP is a 1500W peak-pulse-power Zener TVS diode from Micro Commercial Co, in the standard DO-201AE axial-lead package. This is a unidirectional device — a single Zener junction in the forward direction blocks reverse polarity, and the avalanche region handles the transient. The -55°C to 175°C junction-temperature range covers the full industrial and automotive under-hood envelope without derating at the high end.
Clamp voltage and rail protection margin
The 41.4V maximum clamping voltage at Ipp is the figure that determines whether the downstream silicon survives. For a 24V nominal rail (28V steady-state), the clamp sits about 13V above the rail — that margin is typical for a 1.5kW TVS protecting a 30V-rated MOSFET or a 36V-rated DC-DC input.
