Surge protection for 171V rails
The 1.5KE200CA-TP is a 1500W bidirectional TVS diode from Micro Commercial Co, designed to clamp transients on DC buses or AC lines with a nominal operating voltage up to 171V. The reverse standoff voltage of 171V means the device draws negligible leakage current below that level, activating only when the line exceeds the breakdown minimum of 190V. At the peak pulse current the clamping voltage is held to 274V maximum, limiting the stress on downstream semiconductors and power supply inputs.
Bidirectional clamping in a single DO-201AE package
A single bidirectional channel means the 1.5KE200CA-TP clamps symmetrically in both polarities, making it suitable for AC signal lines or bipolar DC rails without needing two diodes back-to-back. Tape and reel packaging supports automated insertion for volume builds, while cut tape is available for prototype or rework quantities.
