Molded tantalum for tight spots
The TPSA685M010R1800: This is a molded tantalum capacitor from the KYOCERA AVX TPS series, rated 6.8 µF at 10 V with a 1.8 Ohm ESR. The ±20% tolerance is typical for tantalum electrolytics; for a 10 V rail, the 6.8 µF value provides enough bulk capacitance to smooth ripple from a switching regulator without oversizing the board.
Temperature range and field fit
The molded case and general-purpose rating mean it is not a low-ESR automotive-grade part, but for non-critical decoupling in industrial or telecom gear it works fine.
