It speaks SPI with Quad I/O and QPI protocol support, clocked at 66 MHz. It comes in a 24-BGA (8x6 mm) package, surface-mount only.
66 MHz Quad SPI — bus margin and boot time
The 66 MHz clock rate with Quad I/O gives a theoretical read throughput around 33 MB/s. That is fast enough for shadowing code to RAM or staging OTA firmware updates without stalling the host controller. The QPI mode cuts the command overhead by using a 4-bit serial bus for both address and data, which tightens the latency for random-read workloads.
24-BGA footprint — rework and layout notes
The 8x6 mm body fits on a standard four-layer PCB with via-in-pad if the layout is tight.
